Winter is an adventure for Moorhead friends Jared Vasek, left, and Luc Wicklund. The pair, who have been friends since childhood, can be spotted at the Fargo Skate Park with their latest daredevil gear. ” I was reading a snowboarding magazine and saw this ad for a Banshee Bungee and though it would be cool, so I ordered one. We have been snowboarding hardcore for the last few years so we thought this would be fun,” said Luc. They bring out their boards and shovels to the park and clean off the steps around the rails to prepare their launch ramp. They both pull back the cord and take turns running their short rail course. ”Random people stop by and ask us what the heck is this thing,” Jared says with a laugh. ”We can go up to 30 mph, it’s crazy.” The pair said they don’t need a lot of snow to have have fun. ” We can go until late March or April, then we break out our skateboards when the snow is gone.
